Mr. E’s Music was started in 1946 as C&S Music.  The company’s primary focus upon its inception was the band instrument business. Owned by the partners who founded it until 1960, the company was purchased by William C. Everitt, who still owns the company today. 

 

Mr. E's has been owned and operated by William C. Everitt since 1960. Mr. Everitt has over 50 years of experience as a musician, teacher, director, and supplier of musical instruments. Over the years, Mr. E's has grown and expanded from its inception as a small, three store chain to its current much larger, four store operation.

The beginning of the 1990's saw many changes for the company as stores began moving and expanding across Tarrant County. In 1994, Mr. E's opened the first of the new 'supercenters' in Bedford, TX. The store, which measures a whopping 22,000 square feet, was designed to be the most all encompassing music instrument store in Tarrant County, and it is still to this day.

In the fall of 2005, Mr. E's formally opened one of the largest music stores in the United States, a 30,000 sq. ft. location just a stones throw away from its former location in Arlington.  Mr. E’s has since relocated the store to a new space as of July 2010 nearer to the Parks Mall in Arlington. While smaller in size, it is expected that this location will serve as the one stop shop for any musician in the area for many years to come.

In 2001, Mr. E’s made its biggest move to date; the transfer of its corporate offices to a newer, larger building, and the opening of the fourth location in Keller, TX. This location was then relocated to the Southlake area in 2006, and has enjoyed tremendous success, and is a haven for local musicians in the area.

One of Mr. E’s strongest customer bases has always been on the southwest side of Tarrant County. To accommodate this fast growing area, Mr. E's formally announced the relocation of its current 4,000 square foot location in the Hulen area to a new 17,000 square foot location just up the service road in 2002. The store features the most stylish displays and layout of any store in the chain, and boasts the largest selection of product and accessories as well.

 

Now, Mr. E’s Music is proud to announce its next big step: An all-encompassing Website designed to allow all of our customers the ability to expand their musical horizons 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This new website is the crown jewel of the Company’s new marketing initiative, and will always be tweaked and enhanced based on our own ideas, as well as the ideas and suggestions of our customers.
